MEET THE STAFF:
Learn about Emily's approach to food and eating disorder recovery.
Emily Braaten, MS, RD, LDN
I enjoy working with individuals who seek nutrition counseling with a variety of health interests and concerns. One of my areas of clinical expertise has been working with men and women struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating. I believe in full recovery and I am dedicated in helping my clients work towards that goal. Eating disorders recovery is a team-based approach - I value the collaboration and support from the dietetic experts within group practice. Together, we are a strong force in helping our clients heal their relationship with food and their bodies.
My academic career in dietetics began at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a joint degree in Nutrition and Spanish. I then earned a Masters in Science in Nutrition & Public Health from Teachers College, Columbia University. I have had extensive experience in nutritional rehabilitation for eating disorders, including group counseling and meal support, and have worked with organizations ranging from corporate wellness to private practice to community nutrition education.
